Rebecca Gibson

Rebecca Gibson, she/her, serves as the University’s Director of Report and Response in the Equal Opportunity and Compliance Office, EOC. In this role, Rebecca works with the Associate Vice Chancellor/Title IX Coordinator to oversee the University’s efforts responding to reports of sexual misconduct and gender-based harassment. Rebecca supervises the Report and Response Coordinators and the day-to-day management of reports, oversees trainings across campus, collaborates with campus partners, and supports the EOC’s Voluntary Resolution process.

Rebecca previously served in the EOC as a Report and Response Coordinator for over five years. Prior to 2015, Rebecca worked at Durham Crisis Response Center, DCRC, as the sexual assault services coordinator. Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Rebecca graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a B.A. in Psychology and received her Master of Social Work degree from Tulane University with a focus on Disaster Mental Health and Trauma Studies. Rebecca is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Public Administration at NC State University.
