Fran Muse
Fran is the Director of Carolina Student Legal Services, Inc., a non-profit law firm for UNC-CH students. Prior to joining CSLS, Inc., she was an attorney in private practice representing many clients from underrepresented communities and serving on the court appointed list for Indigent Representation. She served as the Attorney for the Chatham County Department of Social Services Child Support and Adult Protective Services Division. Fran has also worked with NCSU Student Legal Services and the Orange/Chatham County Public Defender’s office. In over thirty years of practicing law and litigating cases, Fran has learned first hand how strong conflict management skills can help alleviate legal disputes both in and out of the courtroom.
Fran earned her undergraduate degree from UNC-Chapel Hill and her Juris Doctorate degree cum laude from Campbell University School of Law. As an undergraduate, Fran lived in Seville, Spain for two years as part of the UNC-at-Seville program.
